Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to ACoinSight (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Service (these "Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Because the App is distributed through the Apple App Store, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (Apple Standard EULA) also applies. Relationship between the Apple EULA and these Terms: these Terms supplement the Apple EULA; in the event of a conflict, the provision more protective of the user's rights shall prevail.
Description of Service
The App is a desktop application for Apple macOS that provides the following features:
- Viewing and interacting with 3D models of ancient Chinese coins
- Browsing historical timelines organized by dynasty, emperor, and reign period
- Displaying biographies, works, and events of historical figures
- Productivity aids such as the Incense Timer (a Pomodoro-style timer) and Gallery Mode (a cultural screensaver)
License
We grant you a personal, non-commercial, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control.
Copyright in the content within the App—including 3D models, high-resolution images, and historical written materials—belongs to the App's developer or the respective rights holders. Except for personal viewing as expressly permitted by these Terms, you must not:
- Copy, mirror, republish, or redistribute any content of the App
- Use the App's content for any commercial purpose (including, without limitation, publication, exhibition, e-commerce, or NFT minting)
- Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App's source code, encrypted assets, or keys
- Circumvent content access controls, spoof entitlement credentials, or tamper with purchase status
- Use automated tools to access the App's APIs or resources in bulk
In-App Purchases and Paid Content
Pricing Structure
All paid content is sold through Apple App Store In-App Purchase. The current version (V1.0) offers the following products (prices shown in USD; pricing in other currencies is set by Apple's regional pricing):

Museum Edition Upgrade Rights
The Museum Edition ($199.99 USD, early-patron price) includes all curated coins and related historical content in the current version of the App (V1.0, centered on Northern Song reign periods and continuously expanding). When the App releases future major expansions—such as V2.0 (including Southern Song), V3.0 (including Tang/Yuan dynasties), and beyond—Museum Edition holders will automatically unlock all newly added content at no additional cost; at that time, the price of the Museum Edition for new users will increase accordingly (expected to be $299.99 USD at V2.0 and $399.99 USD at V3.0). Individual Collector Coin purchases do not include this benefit.
Free Tier
Available without any purchase: the Northern Song "Jianlong" reign period (including its coin 3D models and a brief historical overview), as well as all functional modules of the App (Incense Timer, Gallery Mode, timeline browsing, and more). Other reign periods are shown as read-only previews only; detailed content requires a purchase to unlock.
Transactions and Restoring Purchases
- All transactions are processed by Apple. Your payment information is held by Apple, and the App cannot access your credit card or payment account details.
- After a successful purchase, the App submits the receipt issued by Apple to our servers for verification and obtains the corresponding entitlement token.
- When you use the App on another Apple device under the same Apple ID, you can restore your purchased entitlements via "Settings → Restore Purchases."
- All paid products in the App (Reign Period Pack, Collector Coin, and Museum Edition) are non-consumable; they can be restored an unlimited number of times under the same Apple ID and do not expire.
Refund Policy
All refund requests are handled exclusively by Apple. Please visit reportaproblem.apple.com to submit a refund request.
Once Apple approves a refund, the App's servers will automatically revoke the corresponding entitlement via Apple's server-to-server notification mechanism, typically taking effect within minutes. The affected resources will revert to a locked state the next time you launch the App.
Changes to Pricing and Availability
We reserve the right to adjust prices for future new users, introduce new products, or discontinue existing ones. Entitlements you have already purchased are not affected by subsequent price changes.
Gallery Mode and Terms of Use for the MCP Interface
The App includes a Gallery Mode feature, which can be triggered by your AI coding assistant (such as Claude Code, Cursor, OpenClaw, or other clients supporting the Model Context Protocol) through a local loopback HTTP server. When using this feature:
- You understand that the MCP interface listens only on the local address
127.0.0.1:23456and is not exposed to external networks. - You are responsible for the AI client you use and for how that client invokes this interface. The App receives only window-state commands such as "start/stop Gallery Mode" and does not receive any files, screen, or clipboard data.
- Any keyboard or mouse activity, or entering full-screen mode in another application, will immediately exit Gallery Mode; user control always takes precedence over AI commands.
- This feature is provided at no additional charge and is included in the App's free tier.
User Conduct
When using the App, you agree to:
- Use the App solely for lawful, private, non-commercial purposes
- Refrain from any of the prohibited activities listed in the License section
- Not use the App to distribute malware, conduct cyberattacks, or infringe the rights of others
- Not impersonate any person or claim to be an official representative
In the event of a serious violation, we reserve the right to revoke your entitlement tokens; such action does not affect transaction settlement at the Apple level.
Third-Party Content and Services
The App incorporates the following third-party open-source software components (a non-exhaustive list): Google <model-viewer>, OpenSeadragon, Electron, React, Zustand, Emotion, @emotion/styled, lucide-react, and others. The applicable license terms are available within the application package or in the respective official repositories.
Disclaimer
The App makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of the historical information it presents but does not warrant that the content is entirely free of error. The historical materials provided are for educational and personal-interest purposes only; they do not constitute an academic citation source and do not constitute any investment, collecting, or business decision-making advice.
The App is provided "AS IS," and to the maximum extent permitted by law, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied (including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement).
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App's developer and its affiliated parties shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App. Our total aggregate liability to you, if any, shall not exceed the amount you actually paid to the App within the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the dispute.
Changes to and Termination of Service
We may modify, suspend, or terminate part or all of the service as our business requires. For changes that materially affect the entitlements of users who have made purchases, we will provide advance notice within the App. If the App ceases operation, we will make reasonable efforts to protect the rights of users who purchased the Museum Edition through feasible remediation measures (for example, extending the offline-use period of the client or enabling data export).
Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be published within the App by revising the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be prominently indicated within the App. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
The App is offered by ACoinSight Team. Disputes relating to in-app purchase transactions are governed by the jurisdiction rules set out in the Apple Standard EULA (Apple applies different governing laws to users in different regions). For matters relating to other services of the App, and to the extent permitted by law, the laws of the developer's place of residence or your place of residence shall apply, whichever is more favorable to the consumer.
Nothing in these Terms diminishes the statutory rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection laws applicable in your region (such as the GDPR in the European Economic Area, the UK DPA, the Swiss DPA, and others).
